This fascinates me when I was at primary school we did a graveyard visit I have no idea why and our trip was cancelled because they were exhuming Bible John who doesnt seem to be Bible John anymore. 6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. Plenty of names have been proposed as Johns identity.

3Through Him all things were made and without Him nothing was made that has been made. One of the latest and quite possibly the most logical is Peter Tobin. Where the synoptic gospels say This is what happened John states with conviction This is the Son of God.

And the life was the light of men. From February of 1968 to October of 1969 a serial killer tormented the patrons of the Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow Scotland. The Hunt for Bible John is airing on BBC One at 900pm on Tuesday 4 January lasting an hour.

More than likely the identity of the serial killer Bible John will never be known for sure - but one thing is certain his legend will never die. The murders took place in the city of Glasgow Scotland in the United Kingdom. I remember at the time it was a big deal because his mum had been buried in the same grave subsequently.

Between the years of 1968 and 1969 the killer was believed to be behind at least three murders in. 28This all happened at Bethany on the other side of the Jordan where John was baptizing.

He is believed to have killed three women in 1968-69. In the late 1960s three women were murdered after attending the same nightclub. Bible John was a serial killer who attacked women in Scotland.

The Gospel according to John is quite different in character from the three synoptic gospels. But aside from their location all three women had something very specific in common. It does not follow the same order or reproduce the same stories as the synoptic gospels.

Was this thing they had in common the reason they were killed or was their killer a man now known as Bible John after them because they were frequenting a nightclub known for hookups. Bible John was said to have told Helen Puttock and Jeannie Langford he worked in a lab. To a much greater degree it is the product of a developed theological reflection and grows out of a different circle and tradition. Bible John remains one of Scotlands most notorious unsolved serial killers. Despite the evidence pointing towards multiple suspects Bible John has never been identified. I am convinced he is a viable suspect Another potential name of interest was a fairground worker from.
